Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello (born April 18th 1967) is an American actress as well as a producer and writer. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello has appeared on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997-1998), along with other starring parts such as Michelle McBride (2016 season) as well as Jacqueline Sloane (2017-2021) on NCIS. Bello was raised in Norristown to Kathy Bello and Joe Bello. Bello pursued a degree in political science at Villanova University. After graduating, Bello honed her acting skills through a variety of New York theater productions. Bello is mother to Jackson and Dan McDermott, her ex-boyfriend. In November 2013 she wrote about her having a same-sex relationship with her former partner, Clare Munn. The book she wrote was published, Whatever...Love Is LOVE: Unpacking the Labels We Give Ourselves, (Dey Street Books) on April 28, 2015.
