Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she is a member of Passover seders.
